Technical Marketing is responsible for translating customer needs into the development of new applications to support the implementation of the business strategy, providing technical service and process support to develop customers and resolving technical customer complaints.
To match the fast growth of SABIC we are currently looking for enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Technical Marketing Engineers in our business units HDPE and  LD/LLDPE.

The HDPE Technical marketing activities cover various application areas such as pipe extrusion (e.g. gas and water pipes), blow moulding (e.g bottles) injection moulding (e.g. caps and closures).

Examples of LD/LLDPE applications are blown and stretch film extrusion (e.g. food packaging), extrusion coating (e.g. liquid packaging), foam (e.g. insulation and packaging), wire & cable and roto moulding (e.g. toys and water tanks).

The Challenge

• Steer day-to-day application development in the market and translate market needs in research and technology projects.
• To deliver optimal support to customers and build up "productive" customer  relationships.
• To follow and analyze the market developments within your market segment.
• To position SABIC products in the market and initiate branding & promotion campaigns.
• To identify new developments and opportunities and translate these in the continuous innovation of the SABIC product portfolio.
• Support alignment between various disciplines (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Technology & Innovation, other TM departments, etc.)

Your Profile

• You have a Master degree/level in engineering and/or business study with some years experience in the field of technical marketing.
• 4-8 years working experience would fit the best in the expected career path before and after this position.
• You are well known with application development processes as well from a technological as commercial point of view, preferable in the pipe market.
• Good technical knowledge and experience in polymer market.
• You are a team worker with a good social antenna and a persuasive and challenging attitude.
• You are highly driven with innovation and have proven success in developing new markets and/or applications.
• Fluently in English, other languages are an asset.
